Ben Mac: Toronto, ON, Canada; I am a grad student at York University. I am currently pursuing an MA in Cinema and Media Studies. My research project is concerned with the intersection between Indiewood films and indie music, and how they interpret and are informed by current youth social crisis, namely themes of authenticity, depression, meaninglessness, self-expression, purpose, and style. I received my BA from the University of Alberta in 2008.
